The Recreation Supervisor will be directly involved in planning, developing, coordinating, and promoting a variety of recreation programs, activities, and special events.
This position will also oversee staffing and the ticketing and customer service of Lily Pad Springs.
This role monitors customer satisfaction while establishing and maintaining relationships with the community, sponsors, and media.
This position will work directly with hiring managers, human resources, and the leadership team in a collaborative environment.

Summary:
The Recreation Supervisor manages the day-to-day activities and staff responsible for planning, developing and delivery of recreation programs and leisure services for all ages.

Identifies and executes the goals and objectives for the Recreation Division as outlined within the Strategic Plan.
Develops and implements recreation policies, procedures and standards; revises Recreation work systems and procedures as necessary to improve the efficiency and productivity of the division; assumes responsibility for staying aware of changes in organizational policies and procedures.
Oversees seasonal managers, assistant managers, and attendants at Lily Pad Springs.
Oversees overall customer service and experience at Lily Pad Springs.
Investigates and resolves issues and concerns regarding recreational operations, programs and activities.
Works closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to execute marketing and public relations plans.
Manages registration software and addresses issues as necessary.
Works closely with Administration and Park Managers to ensure successful collaboration between customer service and park amenities.
Maintains active involvement with community organizations.
Timely completion of monthly reporting for Commission packets and meetings.
Continuous research and networking to stay on top of latest recreation trends.
Plays an active role on the WB Diversity Task Force.
Leads community event booths as coordinated by Marketing and Communications Manager.
Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance that is appropriate for the situation.
PROGRAMMING:
Together with Recreation programmers, creates and implements an array of recreation programs for those of all ages.
Analyzes program evaluations and staff surveys to improve future programming and continuously evaluates community needs.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
Supervises Lily Pad Springs managers, recreation programmers, recreation intern, park naturalist supervisor, senior services manager, and seasonal staff.
Duties include:
hiring, training, counseling, scheduling, documenting, evaluating staff performance and, when necessary, disciplining or discharging staff.
Creates and maintains a desirable culture within the work place for Recreation staff.
Determines staffing needs and works with recreation staff and Executive Director to interview and hire qualified employees.
Teaches and mentors recreation staff to become self-sufficient and extraordinary parks and recreation professionals.
Seeks professional development opportunities for staff and self.
Creates or enrolls full time staff in appropriate training.
Creates and administers seasonal staff orientations.
Responsible for timely approval of recreation staff payroll.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Monitors customer satisfaction with recreation programs and activities via surveys and other performance measures including internal cost analysis of all programming.
Process customer refunds as needed by operations coordinator.
BUDGETING:
General knowledge of budgets, taxes and millages.
Manages the recreation budget and assures expenditures are within the approved budget.
This includes monitoring daily expenditures, authorizing payment of invoices and payroll costs.
Makes financial recommendations to the leadership team and Executive Director.
Timely completion of check requests for items in the recreation budget.
Administers the WB Parks Financial Aid/Scholarships program, as well as all other donation requests from community organizations.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 70 pounds, be able to squat and bend over.
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to extreme heat/cold when occasional field time is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
