The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf and service, and will play an integral role in contributing to the high-end golf experience enjoyed by our members and guests.
This is a seasonal position with duties scheduled primarily between April 1 and November 15, though start and end dates may be flexible based on weather conditions and the candidate's winter season employment.
Successful candidates may be offered additional winter employment opportunities at the club depending on facility needs.
This is an ideal position for a service-oriented individual with a passion for the game of golf, particularly those who may be interested in a golf professional or management track.
As such, PGA apprentices and those seeking entry level assistant professional employment are encouraged to apply.
Those with an interest in a career in golf will be provided additional educational opportunities as part of the team's professional development program.
Orchard Lake is the premier family club of Southeast Michigan, with a full array of amenities including a recently restored classic golf course designed by HS Colt & CH Alison.
Experience Required Golf service experience preferred but not required Essential Responsibilities Assist the Golf Services Manager in the daily management of the golf services staff, including supervision and maintenance of our practice areas, bag room, cart fleet, and staging area.
Assist the Golf Services Manager in the daily management of the youth-based Orchard Lake caddie program, including assignments, training, and mentorship.
Serve as the starter in managing golf course traffic in the absence of the Golf Services Manager, including friendly, proactive member service and accessibility.
Complete daily golf service billing tasks through the use of Jonas software, including green fees, cart fees, and so on.
Assist the golf professionals in the execution of a variety of golf events, from leagues and weekly events to multi-day invitational tournaments.
Provide high touchpoint and anticipatory member and guest service for a variety of other tasks involved in the golf program.
